I offer two celebration cake options, and the number of portions needed will help determine the size of your cake:

• Full-Size Cake: Three layers of sponge with two layers of filling, perfect for larger gatherings.
• Bento-Style Cake: Two layers of sponge with one layer of filling, ideal for intimate celebrations or gifting.

The size of the cake is guided by the number of servings you require, ensuring everyone at your celebration gets a slice. Each cake is finished with the same care and attention to detail, ensuring your celebration cake looks and tastes amazing.

I offer a variety of sponge flavours and fillings, all made from high-quality ingredients. During our initial discussion, we can choose the perfect combination to match your celebration theme and personal taste.

I recommend booking wedding cakes at least 6–12 months in advance, and celebration cakes 4–6 weeks in advance to secure your preferred date. This ensures we have plenty of time to design and perfect your bespoke cake.

Consultations at Hannah Hickman Cakes are a chance for us to discuss your ideas and start planning your bespoke cake. During the consultation, we will:

• Talk about your occasion, theme, and vision
• Discuss cake size, flavours, and fillings
• Look at design ideas, colour schemes, and any special details
• Try samples of sponge and fillings to help choose your perfect flavour combination
• Answer any questions you have about pricing, delivery, and setup

Consultations can be done in person, via video call, or over the phone depending on your preference. After our discussion, I’ll provide a personalised quote and next steps for creating your bespoke cake.

Yes, I deliver and set up all wedding and some celebration cakes within a reasonable distance. Celebration cakes can be collected. Delivery and setup costs are outlined in the quote for wedding cakes, and for celebration cakes, any delivery costs will be discussed in advance.

Yes. I can create cakes that are gluten-free, however, I do not offer dairy free or vegan. Please let me know during our initial discussion so we can plan the perfect cake for your celebration.

SUMMERY OF TERMS

Non-refundable deposits must be paid to confirm all cake orders.

Wedding Cake balances due 14 days before the ceremony.

Celebration Cake balances paid by BACS transfer due 7 days before delivery or collection. With prior agreement cash can be accepted on collection.

PAYMENTS AND DEPOSITS

We require a 30% non-refundable deposit to confirm an order and hold the date. The remaining 70% is due two weeks before the delivery date, at which point all changes must be confirmed. Orders placed less than 4 weeks in advance of the delivery or collection date must be paid in full. The final balance specified on the invoice must be paid by the Buyer two weeks before the delivery date. Payment can be made earlier if you wish. Failure to complete the payment two weeks before the delivery date may result in your order being cancelled. By making the payment the Buyer is accepting the Terms and Conditions as detailed on this page.

CONSULTATIONS

Consultations are by appointment only and are not applicable to all orders. An appointment for a consultation must be agreed with Hannah Hickman and all consultations will be confirmed in writing by Hannah Hickman Creative Cake Makers.

REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS

Deposits are non-refundable. We cannot refund the cost of any orders cancelled with less than three week’s notice. In the very unlikely event that we have to cancel your order for any reason, then we will give you as much notice as possible, and discuss the matter with you and try to agree a suitable alternative. If you do not wish to accept our suggested alternative, then we will refund the full amount to you.

CAKE STAND HIRE

We offer cake stand hire. A security deposit is required in advance. It is your responsibility to return the cake stand after hire to our Studio address within 7 days. The deposit will not be refunded in the event that the stand is damaged, or not returned. Once the stand has been returned we will issue a refund to the Buyer.

FLOWERS

If fresh flowers are required to decorate the cake, these are not included in the price. Any fresh flowers should be provided by your florist or the Buyer and we are happy to liaise with your florist regarding the details and set up.
